The 2008 Latin Billboard Awards held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood FL, honored a wide range of styles and performers based on the best sales and airplay received in the past year. Dominican Juan Luis Guerra continued on his winning streak taking three awards including, artist of the year and producer of the year. Reggaetonero Daddy Yankee and Aventura took home two trophies each, while Puerto Rican duo Wisin & Yandel won the award for their hit single, “Pegao.” Other winners include, Juanes for Male Pop Album of the year, and Jennifer Lopez who was probably the surprise of the night, winning for Female Pop Album of the year for “Como Ama Una Mujer.” .
