Biography
Cartel de Santa is a Mexican band from Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico.The group is known for rapping over beats produced by Jason Roberts, who has also produced works artists such as Cypress Hill, Ice Cube, House of Pain, Guns N' Roses, Control Machete, and Plastilina Mosh.
Cartel de Santa is made up of lead vocalist Eduardo Davalos de Luna aka "el Babo", Dharius, Rowan Rabia and DJ Agustín.
With three albums released in Mexico, USA, Central America, Argentina and Chile, Cartel de Santa has sold more than 100,000 copies and have been recognized by the musical industry through nominations for several awards.
Cartel de Santa has participated in many projects, such as the soundtrack of “The Dreamer,” a Lion’s Gate film in which they also appeared with John Leguizamo, and a tribute CD to José Alfredo Jiménez, XXX: Un Mundo Raro.
They have also performed at various music festivals, including SXSW in 2004 and 2005, and the Vive Latino Festival in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
Cartel de Santa are also the creators of the main track for the TV Show Fear Factor, produced by Televisa Mexico, which is also the musical theme for the Axe Snake Peel commercial in Europe, USA and Canada.
They are the only artists who have a strategic alliance with Reebok in Mexico.
