Biography

Sin Bandera is composed of Noel Schajris and Leonel García.  Leonel was born on January 27, 1975 in D.F. Mexico, and Noel was born July 19, 1974 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but has since become a naturalized Mexican citizen and has resided in Mexico since 1997.  Some of Sin Bandera’s most well known songs are “Que Lloro,” “Entra En Mi Vida,” “Kilómetros,” “Sirena,” “Mientes Tan Bien,” “Suelta Mi Mano,” and “Tócame.”

The members of Sin Bandera, Noel and Leonel, have collaborated with many different artists including Mijares, Ernesto D’Alessio, Presuntos Implicados, Cristian Castro, and Alicia Villarreal.

Although Noel and Leonel seem to complement each other perfectly, they are as different as night and day.  Noel is an “early bird” and Leonel loves to sleep in late.  Noel likes to go out, while Leonel is more of a homebody.

Sin Bandera has gained public admiration for their sincere and simple style.  Their music isn’t overdone or corny.  It’s simply romantic and sensitive, reflective of Noel and Leonel’s distinct personalities; ranging from dreamer to idealist from reflective to introspective.

In 2007, the duo decided to split up to pursue their solo careers.  Their greatest hits album/DVD, Hasta Ahora, was released in December of 2007.
