Biography

DJ Tony Touch is one of the most influential artist, producer, radio personality & DJ. His musical influences are vast and include genres such as salsa, merengue, sonero, and hip-hop. This diverse mix of musical styles made him one of the most sought after club DJs in the country and he continues to showcase his talents as a DJ in some of the elite dance clubs across the country in cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Tony Touch is the result of growing up with Salsa at home and hip-hop influence in his lifestyle. Tony Toca, as he is most commonly referred to, is the Newyorican soul that has mastered bridging two cultures.

The multifaceted artist began as a B-boy during the rap music renaissance of the early 80’s. Heavily influenced by pioneers like Crazy Legs and the Rocksteady Crew, Grandmaster Flash, the Furious Five and Red Alert, he quickly shifted his interests towards the turntables.

Tony Toca is also known for legendary mix tapes such as 50 MC Mix tape.

In 2000, Tony released The Piece Maker on Tommy Boy. The single “I Wonder Why” featuring Total was a hit and the video featured cameos from John Leguizamo, Rock Steady Crew, Grand Master Flash, and Red Alert just to name a few. Since then Tony Toca released The Piece Maker 2 also had an all-star line up with features such as P. Diddy, Fat Joe, Sean Paul and Snoop Dogg.

In 2007 Tony Touch released the second part of that successful album, Reggaetony 2 Toca International, where the single “Dale Azota” features reggaetón sensation Ivy Queen.

The success of Tony Touch has not been limited to his newyorican and Latin audience in general since his talent has been asked for international scenes in Europe, South and Central America, among others. The DJ is always ready to visit any market where he can put his hands on turntables.
