Singer/songwriter Luis Alberto Cuevas Olmedo, a.k.a.
Beto Cuevas, was born in Santiago, Chile and joined La Ley 1989, a year after it was formed. Beto Cuevas has been one of the main creative forces behind the band, writing and singing most of the tracks. Though born in Chile, Beto Cuevas spent the majority of his first 20 years in Montreal Canada, where he studied graphic design.
After putting La Ley on hiatus Beto relocated to Los Angeles, and dedicated his time to acting, being cast in "La Mujer de Mi Hermano" and "Borderland". In 2008 Beto returned to the music scene with his first solo effort titled
Miedo Escénico.
