Panamian reggae duo brings a youthful freshness and tropical flavor to the genre, with party tunes like “La Botella.” Fueled by sweet vocal harmonies and island party fun, “La Botella” details the carefree attitude that rises when it is time to cut loose. Another tune in the same template is “El Bam-Bam,” where Mach and Daddy improvise vocals at a rapid, soneo-style pace. Mach and Daddy are actually brothers Martin and Pedro Machore, and they wrote all the tunes. They downshift the pace on the ballad “Mejor Que Tu,” a reflective song about the aftermath in a broken relationship. While other duos mostly alternate or utilize soneo-style singing, Mach and Daddy actually harmonize a lot in perfect synch, and that brings a sweet, catchy element to the tunes.
