Kinky

Kinky has been around for seven years and in that time they have skillfully mastered their style— a fusion of tropical sounds, regional Mexican rhythms and electronic vibes. This adrenaline-rush of a CD draws together Kinky’s previously-unreleased random recordings from movies and live performances, and also some cover songs and remixes. Included are tracks such as “Oye Como Va” — Kinky’s even bouncier version of Tito Puente’s classic, which appeared on the movie Man on Fire — “Coqueta” with Intocable and the hits “Soun Tha Mi Primer Amor” and “Presidente.” Also included are remixes by Money Mark, Lazy Boy, Capri, Toy Selectah, and Bostich. And since there is no better way to enjoy Kinky’s music than live, the best is saved for last: live versions of “Más,” “The Headphonist” and “Sol.”
